Fun Facts
Aside from civil engineering, my passion is riding horses. I learned how to ride when I was eight years old and I've practiced different equine sports such as fox hunting, polo, and three-day eventing. Along with riding, I enjoy running, swimming, and playing lacrosse, and soccer.
About Me
I'm a senior in Civil Engineering at the University of Arizona. I've been enrolled in the Engineering and Honors College for the last three years and I would like to pursue a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering. With my business minor and a potential Master's degree, I would like to eventually run my own Civil Engineering firm.
In the past, I've helped tucson">tutor people at my high school and middle school in math and science based classes. As an engineering student, I spend a lot of time in groups studying and completing projects which helped to improve my communication skills. Also, I am involved in to clubs on campus that interacts with high school and middle school children motivating younger students to pursue careers in science and engineering.
As a student, I had great teachers who promoted the importance of education which helped me to focus on my schoolwork. I try to create a similar atmosphere with a focus on a positive studying experience where students can feel comfortable making mistakes so they can learn how to fix them. In regards to my approach, I enjoy giving specific help in the beginning then slowly making students more independent when it comes to their classes.
