About Me
I am completely my senior year and Northeastern Illinois University, where I am studying English Literature. Once I graduate I intend to pursue a career in Theatre Management.
Experience
I am a member of the International English Honors Society, and I have been on Northeastern Illinois's Dean's List. I am currently very involved in working as a tutor for 826chi, where I tutor children of all ages and backgrounds.
Approach
I firmly believe that learning should be a fun stress free experience. My approach to tutoring involves providing an enjoyable, positive, atmosphere, so each student will look forward to their tutoring experience. The goal is to make studying so fun it doesn't feel like studying at all, but instead a fun chapter in their day. And ultimately I hope they will take this feeling with them as they pursue higher education.

English Tutoring
I have completed all my degree requirements in English literature at Northeastern Il University.
History Tutoring
I have taken numerous lower division course in U.S. History as well as Greek History. while I don't have an expertise I have a considerable general knowledge of American History and the History of Western Europe.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
My knowledge of English has taught me to how to dissect texts to discover the broader meaning of a work. My reading has taught me to understand a text through a cultural, social, poetic, and grammatical lens.
Study Skills Tutoring
While studying in North Eastern Illinois University I had to learn how to balance my work life and my home life in order to fit in proper studying time. I believe this gives me a great understanding in how to integrating studying into everyday life.
Writing Tutoring
I have taken numerous writing workshops, and writing intensives, both in small groups and in large groups.These exercises have taught me to recognize strengths and weaknesses in other student's writing, as well as my own.
Arts Tutoring
I have taken courses in Ancient Art, as well as survey courses in Western Art.
Social Studies Tutoring
I have taken US Government courses, and upper division Anthropology courses.
