Fun Facts

I am right handed but I always brush my teeth with my left hand. I am fluent in 3 languages, conversant (but not proficient) in 1 language, and am trying to learn another language. I am also the only person to have curly hair among my siblings; the rest of them have straight hair instead!

About Me

I am currently a USC grad student. Previously, I graduated from UCLA with departmental honors in Business Economics and 2 minors in Accounting and Spanish. My family came to the U.S. when I was in elementary school.

Experience

I have about 3 years of previous experience as a tutor in a structured program through my university's tutoring program, UCLA BruinCorps. As a tutor, I specialized in one-on-one or small group tutoring after school. I have also been tutoring privately to college students around the LA metro area.

Approach

I believe that every student has the potential to succeed academically regardless of age or socioeconomic background. I believe firmly that it is extremely important to engage each student in the subject matter and to help him/her to develop the desire to learn. A good tutor not only provides academic assistance such as homework help or study skills but is also a good mentor who is compassionate about helping students and encouraging them to aim high and can relate to them.
