Fun Facts
I love traveling and think that it should be a part of all students academic careers. I just came back from Spain (studying abroad) and had some of the best experiences of my life. I love cooking and am very into staying active!
About Me
I am a Junior Communication major at Santa Clara University. I've kept above a 3.0 all of college. I just declared my minor in Sociology. I look forward to working in PR or Communications after college. Hopefully i'll live in San Francisco too!
Experience
In high school i was part of CSF (California Scholarship Federation) as well as NHS (National Honors Society). I graduated in the top 20% of my class and took many Honors and AP courses. Additionally, I spent three years of my high school career volunteering to tutor and mentor kids growing up in the underpriveleged part of town. I loved the experience.
Approach
As an elementary school and middle school student I struggled with confidence in school, especially in mathematics. The teachers or tutors that made me feel the most confident but also let me work at my own pace were the ones that helped me excel the most. As a tutor, I will attempt to make struggling students feel confident in material. I hope I can explain things in a more simplistic manner than they were taught in class so they see what they are capable of doing! I'll have them teach me!

Homework Coach Tutoring
In high school it would have been helpful to have someone tell me when to work on what homework, or when i should start a project that's due in a month. I am very organized and will help students plan out there week in ways they will for sure have time to get everything done. This can be done day by day as well!
Study Skills Tutoring
I am a strong believer in flash cards and talking about concepts. I also think confidence is key to being a good studier. I'll make every student feel comfortable in talking out loud about concepts or material that he or she will be tested on.
