Fun Facts
I really loves to smile. I'm easily teased by things that my friends don't find interesting. I seldom, if ever, have a good picture, I just smile stiffly in front of camera (kind of defending for my bad profile picture). I'm a freshman at racquetball, but I really enjoy this sports. I find it a great way to release my pressure. I like to sing although I'm horrible at it.
About Me
I am a freshman in University of California - San Diego. I'm majoring in Joint Mathematics and Econ. When I graduate, I hope to go to graduate school to study actuarial science. I want to work as an actuary after graduate school. Some day in the future, I hope I can become a college professor. I hope to pass my knowledge and experience to the next generation.
Experience
In the summer of ninth grade, I tutored my Math teacher's nephew who was going to participate in Chinese high school entrance exam. The subjects include English, Physics and Chemistry. I summarized key points and explain answers she had problem with. We had a great time. I am really eager to work as an tutor and help students with their study.
Approach
I'll first conclude the key points and give examples to help the student understand the concepts. Usually, when I'm studying, I like to go over the material several times. The first time, I'll just have a rough understanding in mind; the second time, I will more carefully study the material and do some practice. And some time later, I will review the material to solidate my knowledge. I find this way quite efficient and hope to introduce it to students. I also find it useful to write things out.

I get more than 90 out of 100 on every Math exam in high school. I did pretty well on Algebra. I also get 800 on SAT Math, 800 on SAT2 Math level 2 and 5 on AP calculus. I'm also learning Math in college.
