I have two younger siblings who, even though are far apart in age, are very close to me. We have tons of similar interests, especially music. The three of us do not live together (I live on my own, my brother is at college, and my sister lives at home with my parents) but we text everyday about new music we heard or about upcoming concerts. My passion for music led me to becoming the founder of my own music-based nonprofit organization/

About Me

I graduated college with honors in 2014 and currently work in the field of cancer research. I recently moved to my own place in the city, and I love everything the city has to offer- from the new foods, to the new people and sights. I have a 17 week old Shiba Inu puppy who is the sweetest little thing. I am the ultimate foodie but luckily my passion for health/fitness has been able to offset my sweet tooth! My dream is to someday own my own business helping others.

Experience

I was a Parliamentarian of the National Honor Society in high school, and historian of the Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society in college. My job at a daycare ignited my passion for helping kids, which led me to babysitting and nannying. In college and high school, I tutored students of different age ranges and educational background. I specialize in productivity, organization, test prep, homework coaching, and essay writing/proofreading, and I am always happy to help students!

Approach

As a child, I have always excelled in school, but I realized that not everyone was as lucky so I started to help others with homework and study skills at an early age. My parents were very strict about studying so I have always made it a point to do my best to make studying more fun and interactive, than to just be stuck in a room alone. I believe in giving students more of a 'take charge' attitude so they feel like they are pushing themselves to succeed, rather than be forced.

history is a lot of memorization and is heavily based on study skills and organization, which I excel at. In my own past, and my past tutoring my sister in History, I have come up with different methods for studying like flashcards, creating stories/drawing pictures, drawing timelines, etc.

I have always done well with homework of my own, which has led to me helping others with their homework (various ages). I have done it voluntarily as a mentor, and also have helped with organization and productivity for homework help on a paid-scale.
