Fun Facts

I am a Northerner, born and raised outside of the Twin Cities in Minnesota! My life goal, at the moment, is to become a doctor and also participate in community/professional theatre and/or film. I have a passion for both and don't want to have to choose between them! In addition to the arts, I am also passionate about travel, service, and learning. I was involved in many community service groups in high school and am continuing that trend at TCU.

About Me

I am a Senior at Texas Christian University working toward a major in Chemistry and Theatre and on the Pre-Med track. I am not from Texas, rather, the opposite end of the country--Minnesota! But I am so excited to be here in Fort Worth. I am in the John V. Roach Honors College at TCU, and I was also on the A Honor Roll every semester of high school, a member of National Honor Society, and in the top 10% of my graduating class.

Experience

I have been formally minneapolis">tutoring my peers for years, and I have always been the student to whom others come to for help. My minneapolis">tutoring experience is mostly in the areas of Math and Science, but my academic experience is very wide-spread. I have a passion for learning, and I love to share that passion with others.

Approach

I have learned, through my academic journey, that when a student is exposed to real applications of the concepts that he/she is learning or struggling with, it becomes easier to understand and retain the information. So, when minneapolis">tutoring, I merge this idea of deeper understanding with as much adaptation to the student's learning style as possible.I ask that since I am willing to be organized, prepared, and responsible, that the student does the same.
