Fun Facts
I follow English football, and support Manchester United and Real Madrid. I am teaching my daughter to play soccer.
I love Burgundy, Italian, and German wines, and love to cook, especially Italian, Indian, French, and German foods. I also import wines, as a result of supporting the charity wine auctions in Burgundy for the indigent and infirm.

Published 4 book and almost 20 technical articles, plus invited papers at International Conferences. Worked for Bell Laboratories for 8 years before I went into consulting and technology management.
Experience
Tutoring on and off since High School. Taught University classes (grad and undergrad) as a Teaching Assistant and as an Adjunct Professor. Enjoy helping students learn. I have also developed and taught classes for Engineers and Scientists at Bell Labs. Also tutored teenage prisoners while a student.
My teaching philosophy: Teach a subject & build a student's confidence in a their ability to do the work. The next steps involve teaching a student to independently apply their learnings.
Approach
I observed early in childhood that I had great confidence in my ability to learn. I realized over time that I could help others develop this confidence. I also realized that students could learn just about anything in science and math being taught in High School and the first two years of college, if they (1) work hard with good study skills, and (2) believe in their ability to learn. I found out later that this approach is part of the ground-breaking work of Jo Boaler at Stanford.
