I am an avid cook, with a true love for biology. I have such an extensive love for cooking, that I created my own baking business when I was 15 years old. In my spare time I volunteer at a Breast Cancer Research Laboratory, and love coming up with new baking recipes!

About Me

I am currently a pre-med student who hopes to become a physician. I hope to one day become a physician who doubles as an on-air television correspondent. I would like to be the next 'Dr. Oz'!

My previous detroit">tutoring experience includes being a Peer Mentor for wayne-state-university">Wayne State University's Biological Sciences Department. As a peer mentor I held weekly discussion sections, for a class of 15 introductory biology students. In my discussion sessions we reviewed key concepts, engaged in activities, and I answered questions students may have had. I also provided supplementary help for students when needed, and provided extra assistance during my scheduled office hours.

In regards to my detroit">tutoring philosophy, I know for a fact that everyone learns differently and at their own pace. I believe the first step to academic success is finding the student's personal learning style. I think many outlets should be used to help students understand key concepts. Some of my favorite learning tools include: videos and short film clips, listening to podcasts and incorporating graphs or pictures.
