About Me

I am a first year graduate student at the University of Texas at Arlington studying Mechanical Engineering and I am concentrating on structures and manufacturing. Previously I attended Texas Tech University and it is where I graduated with my bachelors of Mechanical Engineering. After I graduate with my Masters I hope to maybe one day return to earn my PhD.

Experience

As a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers I have been involved in many events in which we teach kids as young as 8 to as old was 18 what it is like to be an engineer. We usually start the event by explain what an engineering is and giving different examples and then lead them through an activity. Some of the activities have been oil spill clean ups, making a windmill and making bridges.

Approach

Ever since I can remember I have always loved and been good at Math and Science. I would always try to watch the latest engineering/science shows and read the latest engineering/science magazines. I owe this too all of the great teachers that I had through out the years and I hope to inspirer younger generations the way I was inspired.
