About Me
I am a sophomore Global Affairs and Political Science major at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have been on the Dean's list for the last two years. Upon graduating, I plan on attending The University of Texas at Austin Law School. My Ultimate goal is to become a practicing attorney for a major Law Firm.
I love to read and write, and would consider myself an articulate and well spoken individual with a passion for expanding my vocabulary.
Experience
I have an experience tutoring children who speak English as a second language, with reading comprehension, writing, and math. Additionally, I also have experience in tutoring Basic Algebra. Throughout high school, I consistenly aided fellow students in the subject areas of History, Government, and Psychology, in both regular and AP courses.
Approach
My approach is very practical, and growing up I was always taught that practice doesn't make perfect, however, perfect practice makes perfect. With that in mind, I love to teach children how to properly master a particular subject, with effective study skills, example problems, and constant practice. In addition, I try to make the subjects as relatable as possible to the students- Teaching them how these subjects pertain to their lives.

Political Science and Global Affairs
History Tutoring
I have always excelled in History and have never made below an A in any history course taken throughout high school or middle. It's a subject I'm very passionate about. I am majoring in political science and global affairs which involves a lot of history regarding U.S. history, and international history.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have worked as a Homework Coach in the past working with elementary school aged children, aiding them in day to day homework assignments.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I am a avid reader, and would consider it one of my favorite past times. I am an experienced reading comprehension tutor and have also worked with students that speak English as a second language in their reading abilities as well.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have taught basic study skills to fellow students, as well as the students who I have tutored. I believe I have excellent study skills, and it reflects within my grades. I incorporate the usage of Cornell notes, flash cards,mnemonic devices and other study skills.
English Tutoring
I have excelled in English all throughout the course of my academic career, and very much enjoy both reading and writing, and teaching grammatical skills. I have experience in tutoring English, as well as teaching students who speak English as a second language.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I am very experienced in teaching elementary math, and have done so for the past few years. I would consider myself very skilled in my mathematical capabilities, and have excelled in math all the way up through AP Calculus .Math can also be taught in a very fun manner, and I try to incorporate that when teaching elementary aged students.
Social Studies Tutoring
Social Studies is very similar to both my majors -Political Science and Global Affairs. I am very experienced in tutoring Social studies, and is a subject I'm very passionate about. I incorporate a variety of study skills, to aid in the memorization needed to excel in Social Studies, and understanding Social Studies concepts.
