Fun Facts
I love playing tennis, and have played tennis for 4 years as a Varsity team member in my highschool. Also, I love to dance! As a matter of fact, I have been a choreographer in the Trinity University Hip-Hop dance crew for over 3 years! I also love working with younger kids or even peers of my age group or class to help them grow and succeed in their studies.
About Me
I am a senior Computer Science Major with a minor in Mathematics in Trinity University, San Antonio. However, I studied engineering science for 5 semesters prior to my switch to CS. I have a lot to share in life experiences and how I eventually found my true passion. I went through several challenging situations in my life but I managed to pull through and really enjoy what I do! My career goal is to join the auto industry in product design and software development.
Experience
I have had several great internship opportunities and experiences in the past. I spent two summers at Teco Westinghouse Motor Company being part of the R&D department. There, I gained important knowledge of team work, product development, and workplace dynamics while exercising the mechanical and electric engineering skills I have learned in college. Nonetheless, I also interned at a Taiwanese government agency called the Institute for Information Industry (III) doing new technology research!
Approach
Throughout my life I've attended school in Taiwan, New Zealand, Oregon, California, and finally Texas. My diverse background has given me a unique perspective to the world. Although my first few years of college was tough and at times discouraging, I learned throughout my experience to find my real passion. I understand that students can easily lose perspective and drive at what they do, and being someone who has undergone similar struggles, I can provide very positive encouragements and advice.
