Fun Facts
I am a great enthusiast when it comes to soccer. I've been playing the sport since I was nine and currently won the UCSD intramural indoor soccer championship. I also love parkour/freerunning and have been doing it for the past 2-3 years, although i've stopped since I became a student here at UCSD. Another fun fact about me is that I love reading and watching manga/anime.
About Me
I am a third year biochemistry major at UCSD and passionately curious about the sciences particularly biology/chemistry. Since i'm a transfer student and just finished my first quarter here so there is not much to say. But back at my community college, I was on the dean list for both years and ha a 3.5 GPA. My plane is the same for UCSD, and get into research. My ultimate goal is to go to a medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon.
Experience
My teaching experience began with my two younger brother, one who is a freshman at college and the other a freshman in high school. I've been tutoring them throughout their academic career and because of them I started tutoring at my local library and public schools, making an impact on students' lives and helping them succeed, which is something that I am greatly proud of. I also have experience helping college students, but mostly in biochem and math related fields since that's my expertise.
Approach
As for my teaching style, I usually use the socratic method so as to engage the students, by encouraging them to ask questions and partake in discussions. Once they are engaged, learning becomes fun and that's why, in my humble opinion, why this method is the best way to teach.
