Fun Facts
I am fluent in both Korean and English and know a bit of Spanish also! I used to be a competitive swimmer and still like to swim any chance I get. I have a passion for classical music; I play piano and French horn. In high school I was the drum major of the marching band for 2 years. I'm the oldest of three, and I love traveling, spending time outdoors hiking, biking, or just enjoying the scenery. I also enjoy taking tons of pictures and spending time with friends. And finally, I LOVE food!!
About Me
I am originally from Frisco, Texas, where I graduated as salutatorian of my high school. I am currently a sophomore biology major at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I am a member of a B.S./M.D. 7-year program called FAME, in which I was automatically accepted to medical school my senior year of high school. When I graduate medical school, I aspire to become a cardiologist.
Experience
In high school, I had the opportunity to tutor students at my school through National Honor Society. I spent my senior year helping younger students in math and science courses. I also spent that year helping a middle school student who was struggling in her math class. My job as a water safety instructor also helped me learn how to teach young children. I have always loved helping students. I hope Frog Tutoring will allow me to continue doing so and make a big difference in others' education.
Approach
Most students think that learning can be boring, tedious, and difficult. As a tutor, I hope to bring a positive approach to students and persuade them that a difficult subject does not mean they can't enjoy it! By teaching them critical thinking and study skills that apply to all subjects, I will try my best to shape them into well-rounded students. I do not just give the answers - I guide them through the thought processes of how to get to the correct answers, every time.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading is one of my favorite things to do and I have a lot of experience with reading comprehension through standardized testing. I will be able to teach the student how to read carefully and understand the passage. I will also help them think critically and answer questions based on what is provided in the reading.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
SAT Writing has a lot to do with grammar, punctuation, and writing an essay, all of which I have a lot of experience in. My SAT Writing scores are in the 700-800 range. I will be able to teach the student various grammatical rules, how to find errors in sentences, and also give tips on how to write a good essay under time constraints.
PSAT Tutoring
My junior year of high school, I achieved a PSAT score of 219. Because of my competitive score, in the spring of my senior year, I was named a National Merit Finalist and received a generous scholarship for college. I am comfortable tutoring all 3 sections of the PSAT and hope to help raise other students' scores.
STAAR Math Tutoring
During school, I achieved a perfect score on my STAAR Math test. I am very comfortable teaching all levels of math, including algebra, geometry, algebra II, and precalculus. I am sure that I will be able to help students raise their math scores and also overcome test anxiety.
STAAR Reading Tutoring
In school, I achieved a perfect score on my STAAR Reading test. I will be able to provide help in learning new vocabulary and grammar. I will also teach fast, efficient reading skills and how to save time on answering questions that come with a reading passage.

I will also teach easy and efficient ways to think about statistics problems.
