Fun Facts

People wouldn't guess this about me, but I am a rugby player. I've been playing for two years and I absolutely love it! I love hiking, especially through the National Parks. In fact, I spent a few years growing up in Yosemite and Sequoia National Park.

About Me

I am a current law student at Loyola Law School. I graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a B.A. in Political Science in 2017. My ultimate goal is to become a judge.

Experience

I have been tutoring students since I was in high school and have experience tutoring students from elementary school to college. I was also a teacher's aide for 3rd and 5th grader. I assisted students with readings, writing, and general study habits. Additionally, I was an AVID tutor who helped high school seniors apply for college. My strongest subjects are Spanish, English, and study skills.

Approach

I understand how difficult school can be when you don't feel like you are naturally talented. There have been subjects where I have felt I have had to work much harder than the students, where the subject came naturally to them. Getting the assignment done is half the battle. As a tutor, I make certain to foster study habits, in addition, to help students discover a passion for the subject. Moreover, I want my students to know that there is no shame in asking for help or studying extra hard.
