My washington-dc">tutoring philosophy involves devoting small amounts of each day to reviewing concepts, to avoid information cramming prior to tests. I teach specific study skills designed for students to learn and retain information, rather than memorize facts for a short time. I advocate several forms of organizing notes and class information to help students stay up to date on class material and to remain prepared for quizzes and tests. I believe the best way to learn and understand mathematical and scientific information is through practice, and teach students to apply their knowledge to sample problems.
