Fun Facts
If I was not so proficient at languages, I would most likely be a mechanic. I have always wanted to learn how to fix cars, motorcycles, and anything else that needs fixing. Personally, I think it is important to be smart not only mentally, but also with your hands.
On sunny days, I'm an avid runner, cyclist, and tennis player.
On rainy ones, I'm an avid reader, movie-goer, and cook.
About Me
I am a current Temple student graduating this semester with a major in Spanish and a minor in Latin American Studies. After graduation, I plan on either finding a job as a translator or attending graduate school for my Master's in Education or Translation and Interpretation. I'm hoping to significantly increase my GPA in my major this semester, which currently is 3.95.
As a long-time language fanatic, I helped fellow high school students with completing assignments after school. I usually worked with one or two students per week, although this sometimes increased on certain occasions. I have also worked, more recently, with other Spanish students at Temple in preparation for exams and concept understanding.
My approach is a little different from most teachers, in that I try to familiarize myself with the student as much as possible. When I understand the interests of the student and how he or she thinks, it is much easier to explain difficult concepts and maintain interest in the subject matter. Passion about language is a fundamental principal to success. Practice and confidence, built through hard-work and trust, result in an excellent communicator.
