Fun Facts
I really enjoy reading Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Manga in my free time. I have 2 cats named Kona and Char. I'm the only child. I like to write short stories in my idle time. When I'm outdoors I like to be at the beach, and if the weather permits, surfing and swimming. I have taken 3 years of American Sign Language which have given me the basic communication skills to sign at the beginning level.
About Me
I am a junior at CSU Northridge with a major in Communication Disorders. Upon completion of my Bachelor's I plan on attaining my Masters in Speech Pathology. Earlier in my educational career I took several Linguistics courses such as Language & Gender, How Language Matters, and Linguistic Analysis. I believe all these courses have better enabled me to more effectively communicate with not only children, but people of all ages. My end goal is to be a Speech Audiologist.
Experience
I've helped tutor my own peers in some of my college classes, such as English and Writing courses.
Approach
During my childhood I was always supported and encouraged to figure out my mistakes while conquering defeat. Now that I'm in college I am able to extend these strengths to others who could use the help in overcoming similar challenges that I've dealt with. As a tutor, my main goal is to help anyone in becoming a more confident student while providing the support I've received my entire educational career.
