Fun Facts

I love playing Call of Duty and FIFA. My preferred console is Xbox. Along with playing video games, I like to watch horror movies. I have watched nearly every haunting movie and enjoy watching it in a dark room with my friends. In my free time I like to play soccer and rock climb. I know most of you might disagree with me, but I find Calculus the most interesting topic in mathematics. Chocolate truffle is my favorite ice cream flavor.

About Me

I am a computer science major at University of Texas at Dallas. I am currently a sophomore. I am also in Collegium V Honors Program. My major GPA is 3.94 and cumulative GPA is 3.75. I am hoping to do my Undergrad and Grad in CS in a total of 8 semesters. My current goal is to become a software developer/ website programmer. I have an internship during Summer with a startup here in Dallas.

Experience

I am a Peer Tutor at UT Dallas. We call it SI Leader here. I teach college students Discrete Math -1 (CS 2305). It's a course that involves logical reasoning aspect of mathematics. As a SI leader I attend the class with other students, prepare my notes at home, and then conduct sessions where students enrolled in the class can come and get help in the subject. Also, I occasionally help my friend with Math and CS courses.

Approach

Since my childhood, I understood one thing pretty clearly; No one can make a student learn. I believe that if one has passion or interest for a subject, they just need a guiding force to achieve success in that area. And that's where a tutor's job comes into play. I try to understand my students and help them get an answer rather than answering for them. And whenever I see someone whom I helped succeed, it gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction
