About Me
I am currently a student in a Masters of Public Health program. I will be starting medical school next year and am excited to be taking these next steps in my education. I hope to combine these degrees and one day develop programs to help underserved populations access healthcare.
Experience
I have been tutoring since 2014 to middle school, high school, and adult students. I have also worked in education as an outdoor educator for youth where I lead backpacking trips in different parts of the country. One of my favorite parts about tutoring is getting to work with so many different students on a one on one basis. Being able to develop relationships and see students succeed has been one of the most gratifying aspects of working as a tutor.
Approach
I love interacting with different students and getting to know their learning style. I tailor my techniques to fit each student's style. For some students I present material in a challenging way while for others I provide a supportive role. I like to help students feel confident in their understanding of the material and to see them succeed. I make sure that each student feels that I have provided them with an outstanding education experience and that they can continue succeeding on their own.
