Fun Facts
I absolutely love pets! I am obsessed with my two orange tabby cats, Simba and Raffiki (like the characters in The Lion King). I only own cats for now, but I love dogs too, especially corgis! Someday I hope to own dogs and be able to foster stray kittens in my home.
About Me
I am currently a freshman Astrophysics major at California State University Northridge. I graduated from my high school as a valedictorian and I've kept up my straight A's so far in college! When I graduate, I hope to move on to UCLA to earn my Masters in Astrophysics or Aerospace Engineering, and my ultimate goal is to someday work at Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Experience
As a Girl Scout for 12 years, I've had a lot of experience mentoring young girls, as well as volunteering for a tutoring program at my local elementary school teaching 2nd graders English and Math in order to achieve my Silver Award. I also currently work at elementary schools teaching after school programs in a variety of different subjects. I love kids, and I love teaching!
Approach
When I was younger, I was fortunate enough to figure out early on which learning techniques truly worked for me and which ones definitely did not. I'm more of a visual learner, so I absorb information by visualizing concepts and studying graphs/images, but not everyone has a similar mind. I believe that by focusing on an individual's strengths and finding out his/her best methods of learning, anyone can be successful!

With the proper tips and tools for success, I believe anyone can succeed at English. I've maintained an A in every English course I've taken, and I hope to show other students how to succeed in the subject.
