Fun Facts
All of my friends know that I have a passion for flight. Currently I am going after my private pilot license and will soon begin flight training. I plan on taking the knowledge test very soon, so when I am not studying Calculus my head is buried in a private pilot study guide. Other than flight I love working on cars, and anything with an engine. I hope to one day design and test engines as a mechanical engineer. And hopefully be part of the next generation of hyper efficient engines.
About Me
Currently I am a freshman Mechanical Engineering major at the University of Arizona and my current GPA is a 4.0. I just started my second semester and I was invited to join the Honors College at the U of A. After graduating with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, my immediate goal is to work for Boeing or Bobcat designing and testing their heavy equipment.
Experience
While in the 8th grade I had the opportunity to join the peer tutor program. With this I was able teach 6th grade students Math and Science. During that year I felt I truly was able to help the kids grow stronger in their academics. After seeing the job posting for Frog Tutoring I knew this would give me the opportunity to once again help young students not only get better at a subject but to get better at learning.
Approach
During my Junior year of high school, I had a precalculus teacher who did not care about his students. Each day he came in ate his sandwich and expected the students to figure it out. I spent hours getting tutored just to get a B. As a tutor I want to alleviate some of the stress that can build up as a result of an unmotivated teacher. I know this struggle and I want nothing more than to help students through this challenging time.

Algebra Tutoring
I have taken Algebra I, II, Precalculus, and Trigonometry. These classes are central to the foundation of Mechanical Engineering due to the fact that everything we do is computed using numbers. Without this understanding engineers could not do even basic tasks. I received As in all of these classes and I have taught younger kids the Algebra I curriculum.
Algebra II Tutoring
I have taken Algebra I, II, Precalculus, and Trigonometry. These classes are central to the foundation of Mechanical Engineering due to the fact that everything we do is computed using numbers. Without this understanding engineers could not do even basic tasks. I received As in all of these classes and I have taught younger kids the Algebra I curriculum.
AP Physics Tutoring
I recently took AP Physics 1 my senior year of High School. I absolutely loved this course mainly because I was able to understand the world around me. Mechanical Engineers need to understand the forces involved when an engine is operating under full power and without this knowledge we would have an expensive piece of useless metal. I received an A in this class.
Chemistry Tutoring
My junior year of high school I took intro to Chemistry and it really helped me to understand life at the atomic level. I am currently taking General Chemistry at the University of Arizona and I feel my work here will help my ability to tutor kids in this subject. I earned an A in this class.
