Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I've taken both Freshman Composition I and II. In Freshman Comp. I, I received an A and in Freshman Comp II a B. The hardest part in these classes was the writing aspect, while the reading composition aspect was easy.

AP English Tutoring

I took AP Literature and AP Composition in high school and received an A in both classes. My understanding in Literature is much higher than my understanding in Language and Composition, but my performance on both AP exams demonstrated a clear understanding of the subject matter which I have carried over to my college education. Although my courses are mainly composted of math and science, writing reports is still required.

Calculus Tutoring

I took Pre-Calculus in high school and have taken Calc 1, 2 and 3 in college. My grade in Calc 3 suffered due to absences, but I received and A in Calc 1 and a B in Calc 2. Calculus is a core subject in my major and its use has persisted in all of my later courses.

English Tutoring

My high school is called the Preparatory Academy for Writers and I took 2 of AP English classes. High school English was a strong subject for me and i received A's in all courses. The skills i learned in high school have been strong enough to carry me through my college career.

In college I've taken some of the most advanced math courses my university has to offer as a requirement of my curriculum and I've performed well in most of them (A's and B's). Pre Algebra Tutoring

Algebra was one of my favorite subjects in high school and my grades reflected my enthusiasm in this subject. In college I've taken Differential Equations which is a combination of Calculus and Algebra and received a B. I am wholly prepared to tutor high school students in these subjects.

A late development of theses skills can cause one to miss out on a lot of easy A's and make it even harder to score high in more difficult classes. Being able to know which subject requires which study style, and tailoring that to your best learning style is the key to developing study habits that work for you.
