Fun Facts

As a child, I was perceived by others as a very shy and quiet person. When I first found the art of theatre and stage acting back in High School, I knew I had truly found my passion. The stage was brought me to life and I loved every minute of it. In college I started taking playwriting courses and performed in a few school shows. My dream one day is to star in a movie.

About Me

In Junior High School and High School I graduated at the top of my class as valedictorian. In my second year of High School, I received a scholarship to attend Cornell University during the summer. I graduated with honors with my bachelors in English from the City College of New York in 2013; also graduated with a minor in Theatre. I am currently a Criminal Justice graduate student at Grand Canyon University. My goal is to go to law school after I finish my Masters degree.

Experience

At the age of 15 I began volunteer work at the Brooklyn Public Library, the Flatbush YMCA, and at day care centers in Brooklyn, NY. Every summer I volunteered at a different location, working with and supervising children ages 5 to 7. Working with kids quickly became another passion of mine. Two year ago I began working with the New York City Department of Education as an assistant teacher. “You cannot climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets.” My mother said this to me when I graduated High School and this quote has made a very significant impact in my academic success.
