Fun Facts
I am a huge dog lover and have 2 rescue pit bulls at home! I love being outdoors with my dogs and we love to hike and camp. Snowboarding in Colorado is one of my favorite things to do every winter!
About Me
I work with international students at UNT in the Intensive English Language Institute. I am pursuing my second Bachelor's degree in Spanish. I have my bachelor's degree in History and my master's degree is in Education and Reading Literacy. My husband and I enjoy traveling to Latin America, especially Costa Rica. Mu ultimate career goal is to work at higher education in Latin America.
Experience
I have tutored at the elementary school, middle school, and college level in reading comprehension, Spanish, and US History. I have also overseen an after-school literacy program for elementary students in grades K-5th in Denver, CO while pursuing my graduate degree. I currently work full-time with international students at UNT and oversee multiple student programs based on literacy and ESL.
Approach
My graduate work focused on students as individuals and creating learning plans based on each student's needs and goals. I enjoy the one-on-one dynamic that tutoring offers, compared to a classroom setting and believe all students have the potential to be great at any and all subjects. I work to incorporate unique activities each session to continue to motivate students and maintain a fun learning environment.

I have over 6 years of Spanish education and am a junior Spanish major working on my 2nd bachelor's degree at UNT. I am currently taking 2 upper level Spanish courses this semester and can help students with vocabulary, verb conjugation, pronunciation and composition in Spanish 1010, 1020, 2040, and 2050.
