Fun Facts
I love to learn and I love to share my knowledge with other people.
I am truly passionate about music, especially when it comes to playing guitar.
I come from a family that dislikes math, but I LOVE math and I love sushi...LOTS of sushi. No joke, I once went to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant and gained around 10 pounds, that night, that meal(Is that even a meal?).
I am also pretty selfless...I put others before myself.
About Me
I am a junior mathematics major at San Jose State University. I am currently taking my upper division math courses and I absolutely love them!(Even though they are rather difficult!) I want to do great in school because I hope to earn a doctorate degree after I graduate, that way I can become a college mathematics professor, because I just love to share my knowledge of math.
During my high school years, I started my private tutoring there. It was not through mathematics or any other educational course, but through music. I have had friends ask me for private lessons and I enjoyed every single one of them, as they did too because of what I could share with them. Once I started college I have had some students ask me for math tutoring, since it is my major after all. High school, middle school, college, you name it and I'll be glad to help. Private tutor lessons only last a certain period of time, but that is the time I input whatever I can to guarantee success.
I can easily say that I did not enjoy middle school or high school. Primarily because I felt it was teachers just telling us to memorize things then put them on the paper. I was RARELY informed of HOW things worked. There are still some things today that make me think, "why or how?" When I tutor, I provide HOW or WHY a certain thing works, that way an obtained answer makes perfect sense.
Secondly, my teachers never really cared or had patience to individually help a single student. If I had some one to go to when I had questions (in which, to this day, I wish I had a tutor back then) then I probably would not have been walking through the land of confusion. I strive to be approachable for any question and I practice an extremely high level of patience because I am here to help YOU. It is a pity that there are students that hate school and I wish to reverse that
