Fun Facts
Two fun facts that you will learn about are that I love to play soccer and I'm very interested in mobile game programming. Since a very young age till now, soccer has always been a favorite pass time. But not only that, I'm starting to realize the importance and need for mobile application development. Now I'm on the quest to learn mobile programming in order to create the most fun and addicting games!
About Me
Last year I graduated from the University of California with a B.A in Religious Studies. In the spring semester of 2015, I studied abroad in the country of Jordan learning about religion, history and the arabic language. In addition, I was able to travel abroad to the countries Israel and Egypt. A goal of mine has been to learn more about the Abrahamic faiths and to understand its religious, sociological and philosophical complexities!
Experience
My most fond experience was tutoring two middle school Mandarin-speaking students in English and Language and Arts. During this time I began to learn a lot about the patience, diligence and knowledge expertise that a tutor must have in order to increase a student's academic understanding.
Approach
As embarrassing as this is, as a child and even until young adulthood, I've always been a troubled student. I would sit in class hoping to kill the time by creating and playing with my in-class neighbors, until class time was over. The teachers hated me! But looking back, I realized that a little patience and confidence boosting would have made a huge difference at a younger age. Therefore, these two principles are crucial ways in which I build and encourage my students.

Religious Studies
Religion Tutoring
The subjects that I am most able to teach in religious studies are Christianity and Islam. My capabilities in teaching the biblical testaments, history and sociological are well grounded in my studies as a Religious studies major and actual partaker of the faith. Moreover, I am also grounded in the religion of Islam having outstanding achievements in all my Islamic classes and having studied abroad in the Middle East.
Algebra Tutoring
During my high school career and also my first year at the University of California, Davis I was successful in passing Calculus I. As a pre-requisite for Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus, a student must have confidence and ability in Algebra if they are to progress further. I am very capable of setting a foundation for the student's future in high school and college!

During my high school career and also my first year at the University of California, Davis I was successful in passing Calculus I. Writing has become an important foundation in my life as a graduate from the University of California, Davis. As a previous student in UC Davis, I was successful in writing for genres in philosophy, sociology, history, political science and religious studies. Moreover, when it comes to teaching, I am able to help find and shape a writing voice for every individual student.
