Fun Facts
Growing up, I was always very active. I did dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, and volleyball. I gained an interest in health and fitness starting in high school and have continued to be very passionate about being the best self I can be as well as helping others!
About Me
I am a junior at the University of Texas in Austin and am planning on continuing my education by enrolling in graduate school afterwards. My ultimate goals would be to receive my MPH (Masters in Public Health) and working with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) on various programs that work towards improving communities, organizations, etc. on becoming a healthier environment.
Experience
Starting my senior year in high school, I was a nanny for 6 months helping an 8 year old girl with her homework after school. For the first two years of college, and as a past member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, I have had the opportunity to read to elementary school children here in Austin. Just last spring, I was able to volunteer at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI) to work with middle school children during track and field.
Approach
For anyone to be able to learn and understand the material better, I believe it is important to always stay positive and give encouragement when needed. Constructive criticism will be a key component to be able to move forward in the learning process. I will also teach skills that will be applicable to multiple subjects.
