About Me

I am 32 years old, and a 4th grade ELA & Social Studies teacher. I tutoring students from elementary to middle school age in literacy and math, and also sometimes teach piano to students of all ages. I graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in music and minor in Spanish. Then, I acquired my masters degree from DePaul University in Bicultural Bilingual Education with an ESL endorsement in 2016. Sinc2020, I’m bilingual certified.

Experience

Previously, I have taught 1st grade general education (with self-contained ESL students), taught 2nd and 3rd grade as a teacher's assistant, taught 3rd grade as a long-term sub, and taught as a paraprofessional. I also have tutored for 7 years in math, reading, and Spanish and taught piano lessons. Before my current job, I taught 4th-8th ESL.
