Fun Facts
I am an avid traveler, and delight in new experiences. I spent a lot of time learning Spanish and speaking it, traveling through the Americas and Spain. I love to read,and talk to people of different backgrounds. I also love movies, and watch as many as possible. Oddly enough, I love old movies as well as new ones. You'll find me playing chess for fun, just to keep my hand in. I also have a few novel manuscripts that have not been submitted, but some day I will get published.
About Me
I have a degree in Psychology from Alfred University, though I took many kinds of courses in the Humanities. Lately I've been taking undergraduate and graduate courses at UNM with a GPA of 3.9. My coursework spans from literature to Spanish Composition, even a graduate course in Rhetoric. I've learned to delight in both writing and editing. I also have a certificate in Hispanic Studies in the University of Salamanca, featuring university level academic work in an all Spanish environment.
Experience
I've always enjoyed writing and tutoring. Wherever I went, I ended up helping my friends write in English and sculpt their words. , I've tutored English and essay writing at ANTS at UNM. All my students did very well. I've also helped primary school students to read and write Spanish and other elementary school skills in a public school in Granada with La Esperanza. I am fluent in Spanish. I truly enjoy tutoring, and helping students reach their full potential.
Approach
I've always enjoyed helping my fellow students all through my school career. After attending University, I embarked on a mission to learn Spanish as a Second Language. It was a constant struggle to increase my understanding. I now appreciate the struggles of a language learner, in any language, and want to use my skills to help them master whatever studies they wish. When I'm finished, I hope to impart skills and ways of thinking that will follow them through their school career.

I have a degree in psychology with a 3.5 average at the undergraduate level, and excel in all subjects, including that of statistics and interpretation of research results.
Spanish I Tutoring
I am fluent in Spanish, have taken coursework and written papers in Spanish at the University of Salamanca at the undergraduate level. I've tutored Spanish to elementary school students in Nicaragua. I've also obtained a 3.5 in Spanish Composition at the University of New Mexico and edited papers in Spanish.
Writing Tutoring
I've taken coursework in literature, graduate literature, and done very well at all times. I write poetry and have a good grasp of creative writing and poetry, as well as essay writing. At UNM, I took a course in Bilingual education, obtaining an A. I specialize in teaching writing skills in English up to the graduate level, and my students have obtained good grades and the necessary skills to learn more.
Writing Advance Tutoring
I have taught advanced writing skills to people in the fields of History, business, and English Essay. Composition and letter writing is as much a skill as an art, and if a student learns the basics well, they will always be able to apply those skills throughout their scholastic career. Good English writing is no more and no less than an exercise in clear thinking, and to teach clear and fluid English writing is to teach clear and lucid thinking as well. The two cannot be separated.
