I love to try new things, especially with cooking; I am willing to try any kind of food. I enjoy spending my time at the pool, however, I am unable to float. I am deeply in love with chocolates; my favorite desert is chocolate brownies.

About Me

I enjoy helping others in need, and sometimes go out of my way in order to assist my friends with their problems. I dislike reading nonfiction books. I believe that books are a gateway to another "realm" where your imagination takes place at, and that is why I love reading books and novels such as Harry Potter and Twilight.

I have been tutoring my neighbors as well as my siblings for three years. I worked with the One-on-One, No Child Left Behind Program for a year tutoring students with various difficulties, as well as special needs students. I tutored students ranging from elementary to high school with various subjects: Math, English, History, and Science.

I have two teaching approaches when tutoring students. My first approach is asking the student him/herself at which part of the problem he/she confused. For example, when dealing with the subject of math, I tend to ask the student to demonstrate to me the steps that the student already understood then have the student explained to me at what step he/she became confused. My second approach is I myself work out the problems in front of the students while explaining step by step how to solve the problem then create similar problems with assorted scenarios where the students will then teach me how to solve the problem. By doing this, the student will be able to obtain a better understanding of the problem through teaching me.
