I love to meet new people and talk to them about different things in life. I also like to travel and see new places, like one summer I traveled with my school to Turkey. I enjoy learning new things because there is always a sense and feeling of accomplishment that I get out of being able to understand new ideas. I enjoy watching movies that have sophisticated plots and intriguing characters.

About Me

I am a freshman at Arizona State University. I am majoring in Finance and Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. I hope to work for a large company after I graduate, and then when I get lots of experience and work skills I hope to open up my own business. I hope to graduate from ASU in 3 years and then try to get into a top business graduate school.

I have had informal phoenix">tutoring experiences throughout my school career. I would always help my teachers teach and bring other students up to date on new materiel that I understood well but the others didn't. I enjoyed seeing that there were many different ways of learning as well as ways of teaching and that each person is unique. I enjoy phoenix">tutoring and seeing the confidence that a person gets when they know they can do something on their own.

As a student, I have sometimes felt that the teacher doesn't always understand where exactly the student is struggling. I think that this is because the teacher is mentoring and teaching from a higher perspective while the student is on a lower plane. Being a student, when I phoenix">tutor others I ask them to show me their methods and approaches first, I try to learn how they learn and absorb new information and where they are currently struggling. Then I walk them through step by step to ensure that they know how the entire process for problem solving works. I feel like this way allows one to see the entirety of a problem.
