Experienced Spanish Tutor

Fun Facts

I am originally from Cancun, Mexico and I moved to Arizona at the age of 16. I have been here ever since and I am very grateful that I had the chance to meet wonderful teachers across my educational career. This is one of the reasons why I want to tutor other students. I also played football and volleyball in high school and played football at the University of Arizona.

About Me

I just graduated about a month ago from the University of Arizona with a Spanish Major. I graduated with Summa Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA. My goal is to end up teaching in high school or college after my football career is completely over. My goal is to be able to motivate the student to want to learn more and to like the subject. I want to be more than just a tutor, I want to be a mentor.

Experience

Back in high school I was in National Honors society which allowed me to tutor some of my teammates. Once I got to my university I also had the chance to help some of my football teammates with their Spanish classes which included essays, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, reading and writing.

Approach

I have always had really good luck with teachers. Since I was a little kid to my last class I took at my university my teachers have been outstanding. It really made me realize how important teaching is. I want to be able to help other students achieve their maximum potential like I did. I think sometimes you just need the right type of personality and love for a subject from your tutor or teacher to be able to be interested and to be able to be successful on that specific subject.
