One thing that I am very passionate about is swimming. I love swimming laps back and forth, my record is 14! I also love swimming out in the ocean, I've gone as far as to the bowie. I have 4 siblings and I am the only girl. I've been to 14 states and out of the country 3 times. My dream is to go to Ireland.

About Me

I am a senior English major at Towson University. My specialty is writing and I am particularly good at writing argumentative essays. I hope to attend Howard University when I graduate, and earn my Masters in Hearing and Speech Pathology. My ultimate goal is to become a Speech Therapist for children with Autism.

Experience

I worked at a before and after school program for Elementary school students. During the after school program, we would help the students with homework and reiterate basic concepts they learned in class. It felt rewarding to know the children were picking up on the skills they learned in the classroom, & relying on us as the after school teachers to reinforce those skills. Working for Frog Tutoring will give me the opportunity to help more children who need extra help outside of the classroom.

Approach

My 9th grade English teacher, Ms. Anderson, was the one person who showed me reading and writing in the most amazing and inspiring way. She is the reason that today I am eager to continue sharpening my writing skills; From grammar to mechanics to sentence building and spelling. Reading and writing are my passions and I always want to keep that positive outlook when helping students. I aim to help them read for understanding and write with clarity, as I learned to do.
