Fun Facts
I love performing arts! From ages 5-18, I was heavily involved in dance and musical theater. I spent two years also learning violin! I'm a huge basketball and football fan. Deeply enamored with books of various genres as well as browsing the newest exhibit at local museums.
About Me
I am a senior Marketing major at Howard University. A member of the Executive Leadership Honors Program and brother of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. Served on various leadership positions. I hope to attend Stanford University to receive my MBA. My ultimate goal is to go into entrepreneurship and open my own marketing firm.
Experience
As a member of Student Council, I've had the opportunity to spearhead various mentorship and tutoring initiatives. Previously served as a tutor in French, Algebra I & II, Calculus, Accounting, and General Business for undergraduates. Also served as an PSAT & SAT Prep tutor in Philadelphia, PA.
Approach
Confidence is the first step in success. Growing up in a city where students are not expected to excel, I noticed as many of my classmates felt left behind. They excelled only in areas that they felt they were great at, whether sports, dance, etc. I then thought "What if they were told that this work isn't beyond their capabilities?" I began to apply this theory to my tutoring methods and quickly saw improvement in test scores and overall morale! This method garners success in all areas of life.
