Fun Facts

One passion people quickly learn about me is that I love to make people laugh. I enjoy dancing and I have danced for 17 years. Another fun fact about is that I played the trumpet from 2nd grade up until the 12th grade. I am the middle child of three and I have traveled to a lot of states. I also Love to volunteer hours at different elementary schools I have done my practicum hours at just to help out. I have played a lot of sport including basketball and softball. I modeled when I was younger.

About Me

I am a senior early childhood education major at Coppin State University. I've made the Dean's list and when I graduate I hope to further my education all the way to my doctorate degree. My ultimate goal is to become a Pre-k teacher and I want to remain a Pre-k teacher until I graduate. I am open to teaching any grade honestly because I just really love kids. I plan to get my masters from Coppin State University as soon as I finish my undergraduate. I plan to continue to tutor and teach.

Experience

As a student of Coppin State University I had the opportunity to complete practicum hours at different elementary schools. I worked with students and engaged my self in helping them with assignments and also teaching them. I have worked in two learning centers as an aid and eventually was promoted to teaching my own class. I taught ages 4 and 5. I also did after school programs at these learning centers which consisted of ages 5-13. I would help assist students with their homework.

Approach

As a child, I struggled with reading and my parents decided to get me a tutor to better my skills. My parents would take me to the library and every summer enroll me in the summer sneaks program. I began to like reading and I found different ways that work for me when reading and comprehending. As a tutor I plan to bring my passion for teaching with me. I plan to make my sessions fun and show easier ways to learn and grasp information. I plan to show different fun ways of studying.
