Fun Facts
Anyone who knows me would be quick to say that I’ve never really been the type of guy to just sit around! Anytime I get the chance, I’ll be playing basketball, swimming laps, or hiking the mountains of Santa Cruz. When I don’t feel like relaxing (cough cough), you might find me playing board games or reading.
About Me
I am a senior Molecular and Cell Biology major at UC Berkeley. I am also a dedicated researcher who has studied and presented on the role of neuroimaging in the analysis and treatment of stroke. When I graduate, I hope to earn my medical degree and possibly to continue my investigation in the ever-changing field of neurology.
During my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to teach Armenian speaking and reading to a group of five students for one day a week at my local Armenian School. Ever since starting college, I have continued as a substitute for that school and have organized and led study groups amongst my peers at Cal. Now that I am working for Frog Tutoring, I am looking forward to helping and encouraging even more students to learn!
Throughout my experience as a student, I have found that the more I am engaged in a subject, the more likely I am to learn it. This is why I try to personalize subject matter so that any student may be able to find some relevance in any topic. I believe that active participation is the key for a student to truly learn and encourage open discussion in my sessions. The goal is not only to teach content but also to allow students to think for themselves so that they will be successful in any class!
