Currently I am a research assistant in Genomic Instability Field. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in molecular biology and wish to do a Post-Doctoral fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Institute.
As an employee of Building Educational Strength and Talents (Federal Trio Program) at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I charlotte">tutor all Biology courses and Organic Chemistry. I started off charlotte">tutoring in July 2012 with one student, since then the demand for charlotte">tutoring has increased to 7 students. I charlotte">tutor students who have disabilities, thus my job is crucial because I play a significant role in my student's success. I am glad that I am able to help my students achieve their goals.
In middle school, I had a hard time achieving good grades. To overcome this matter, I got myself a charlotte">tutor who helped me to achieve my goal (get good grades). He showed what I was capable of, and made me realize nothing is impossible if I am willing to work hard achieving it. Since then I have worked extremely hard to achieve my goals. I feel that there are many students like me who could use a mentor, or a little boost, or someone who in their life who can help them to achieve their goals, and enlighten their life. I would like to be the one who gives them a positive encouragement and reinforcement in their life. I would like to help them the same way I help my students at University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
