Fun Facts

I have been free diving for two years at different locations around South Florida. I also recently became certified as an open water diver. I enjoy free diving for the purpose of getting to see colorful marine life and interesting shipwrecks that are within my depth range. Going out into the ocean on my kayak alone to free dive has shown me how impressive nature can be and that it demands respect from us that when not given could have consequences.

About Me

I am currently a senior at Florida International University. Once I graduate I intend to go to medical school to fulfill my goal of becoming a future physician. I am currently in the application cycle for medical school and in the mean time would like to do my part in helping those in need of guidance in terms of biological sciences.

Experience

As a current member of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity I plan to continue to help out my community through volunteer service. Having lead a team of new recruits in my rush class to fundraise for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, I intend to use my leadership skills to coordinate and assist others to work together for the common goal of helping those in need. I intend to do my part in what I believe will help to improve our healthcare system as a future physician.

Approach

I have come to the understanding that everyone learns in different ways. Knowing this I have become knowledgable in the different learning methods students have used in order to increase the memory retention. My approach to tutoring involved providing an experience tailored to the learning method most suitable for the student.
