Fun Facts
I was named the MVP of the championship team at the Lute Olson Basketball camp at the University of Arizona my sophomore year of high school. I am still not sure how I got the award, seeing as I scored eight points the entire tournament, but I will always have the plaque to prove it. On a family trip to Chicago and Michigan, I flew on the same plane as Serena Williams, stayed at the same hotel as celebrity chef Mario Batali, saw Kanye West walking down the street in downtown Chicago, and saw rapper Iced-T and his wife Coco in the airport on the way home. It was quite the star-studded trip!
About Me
I am a sophomore studying International Studies and Spanish at washington/seattle">seattle-university">washington/seattle">Seattle University. Born and raised in the sun-drenched land of Albuquerque, New Mexico, I sought a nice change of scenery (and weather) when I applied to college, and ended up here in washington/seattle">Seattle. The change has been immensely positive for me, and while Albuquerque is still my home, I am happy to be a transplant Seattlite.
I have experience in washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring reading-comprehension/washington/seattle">reading comprehension at a local middle school here in washington/seattle">Seattle during my freshman year as well as assisting in English as Second Language classes with refugees and immigrants in Albuquerque. During those experiences, I learned the importance of patience and care when it comes to washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring. I also learned about the immense satisfaction for both the tutee and the washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor that comes about when enough work has been put in and success begins to bubble up to the surface.
Care and hard work motivate everything I do in life. I firmly believe that when I, or anyone else, approaches a task with those two things in mind, we can instill quality upon our world. This is the approach that I will take to washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring. After establishing a personal connection with the student, I will attempt to not only aid in the basic skills of the subject, but also share the power of caring about the work that the student does. I will do so in a professional, enthusiastic, and friendly manner, and I am excited to get to know you!
