Originally from Michigan, I am currently a second year University Honors student at washington/seattle">seattle-university">washington/seattle">Seattle University pursuing a double major in History and English. I enjoy reading, listening to music, watch movies, and travelling. Elephants and dogs are my favorite animals, and blue is my favorite color. Purple is in a close second, and I also love giraffes.
About Me
As a sophomore at washington/seattle">seattle-university">washington/seattle">Seattle University, after graduation, I plan on pursuing a career in education to teach HIgh School history and english. My interests in history are specifically in American history and turn of the century European history, with a focus on WWI. My interests in English are Russian, Irish, American and English literature.
I've had various washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring experiences in the past, which include one-on-one and small group washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring, as well as washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring experience with various age groups. My washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring strengths are specifically in writing assistance specifically with the writing process and literary analysis. My specific strengths for history washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring are basic historical facts, essay writing, and source analysis.
The main thing I focus on when washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring, regardless of subject or grade level, is communication. I always strive to make sure that the student I am helping is comfortable so they can learn. I try and make sure their is an understanding of and engaging with the material so the student can move forward. I think it's best for a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor to allow those they are helping to come through their own work naturally and work with their learning style so that the student can actually learn and not just go through the motions of the educational system.
