Fun Facts

I love to spend my time either playing or watching sports. I am originally from Massachusetts so I am a big Patriots and Celtics fan, but don't hold that against me- the Dolphins and Heat are good too! Also, I am a big movie buff and I know most of the actors and actresses. Although I am very fond of a great movie, another part of me would be just as happy at the beach.

About Me

I am a senior at the miami">University of Miami. I am majoring in biology with minors in chemistry and psychology. I am originally from Massachusetts, but have loved spending the past four years down in the South Florida area. I am an avid sports fan. I played tennis, basketball, ran cross-country, and swam in high school. While in college I continue to stay active with intramural sports. I am currently involved in research at the Miller School of Medicine. I am looking forward to helping students get where they want to be academically.

I have experience boston">tutoring biology, chemistry, and math with elementary, middle school, and high school age students. I also frequently run study groups here at the university in some of my classes. As a biology major with a chemistry minor, I have taken extensive courses at the college level in both of these subject areas. I also took honors courses in both calculus I and calculus II at the college level. I have worked at a summer camp teaching swimming lessons to children ages 3-14, and this has given me great experience working with many different types of children.

My boston">tutoring approach is very simple. I like to break down the subject to the basics and start from there. I believe that it is very important to have a strong foundation before working up to the more complex material of each subject. In addition, my motto is that there is no such thing as too much practice. As with any task, the more practice problems that someone does, the stronger the results they will obtain. This has worked for me personally as well as the students that I have worked with over the years. I hope to be working with you all soon. And remember, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
