Fun Facts
Softball is one of my many passions, but it is also the one that I take very serious. I played shortstop, second base, and outfield. I am the youngest on my dad's side and the oldest on my mom's. I danced all of my life up until college (mainly ballet, modern, and hip hop). I marched in parades for 7 years. I hope to coach my own team one day.
About Me
I am a freshman Chemistry major at Howard University from New Orleans, LA. I graduated from the top school in my state with a 3.6 GPA and a 27 on the ACT. I was varsity softball captain and still maintained a great GPA. My ultimate goal is to become a pharmacist, and open my own chain of pharmacies.
Experience
My high school was based around community service so my way to give back was to tutor kids at my old elementary and middle school. I tutored 2-3 times a week outside of softball season. I also made extra money on the side tutoring high school kids who knew that I excelled in certain subjects.
Approach
I know that talking to a child doesn't get the information across. For my older kids, I relate what they're getting tutored in to their personal lives. Which gives me more of a connection to my children than just the school work they need help in. I become more of a tutor and mentor. For my younger kids, I use a chart that graphs out how many stars they get and once they complete a row they get a prize. This gives them the incentive to want to learn.

Chemsitry
Algebra Tutoring
In high school I maintained straight A's in all of my math courses. Being a chemistry major I have to take math up to Calculus 2 so the beginning is a breeze. Everyone I've tutored has gotten either an A or B in the class.
AP Chemistry Tutoring
I took AP Chemistry my senior year and I am a chemistry major so I can go in depth with what is going on. Since I've taken the class I can also give tips on how to study for it as well.
Chemistry Tutoring
I am a chemistry major and excelled beyond my expectations in my first chemistry class. This is just the beginning so I can go in depth on what is happening in their class. Everyone I've tutored has gotten either an A or B in the class.
History Tutoring
I am the most comfortable and knowledgeable of US History. I received an A in this class and an 859 on the EOC (end of course test which is out of 900). I was ranked 5th in this class.
Pre Algebra Tutoring

Being that I am a chemistry major I also have to take Biology. I received an A in biology in high school. I have tutored several of my younger friends in bio so that they could excel as well.
