One of my passion is to watch soccer game. My favorite soccer team is Real Madrid and my favorite player Cristiano Ronaldo. Even though I 'm not a very good soccer player, I do my best when I play in defense.

About Me

Ernest Dorilas is an applied economist and Master’s student at Georgia State University in Economics Policy Track. Actually, I'm working on two major projects while studying: Fiscal Decentralization in Haiti and Microsimulation modelling for Haiti. I also plans to make my Philosophical Degree at Georgia State University in the field of Budgeting and Public Finance.

Experience

As a professional, I worked at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Haiti precisely at the Economic Research Department where I was the Economist-statistician to manage the fiscal database, to analyse the Haitian fiscal regime and to make propositions of reform. As an undergraduate teacher, I taught microeconomics, statistics, probabilities, and techniques of economic analysis.

Approach

For me, teaching is not only give the knowledge, it is also to give confidence. Over my 7 years of experience in teaching, I learn that if a student is not confident, he may have the background he needs to succeed, he will not be able: just because of lack of confidence. My approach is to communicate with the students and help them with basics examples to come up with the answers by their own.
