Fun Facts

When I was very young, my only dream was to be a soccer player. So I played soccer almost every day until high school when the school load became too heavy to accommodate for the sports, but I still managed to play it from time to time as a passion. One funny thing is that before immigrating to the USA, I used to consider American football to be very violent and a non-sport, but today it is one of my favorites. I love concerts, sports and I love action movies. I am absolutely terrified of scary

About Me

I am senior Civil and Environmental Engineering Student at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University graduating in May 2013. I have been in the Dean's list throughout my enrollment at Wayne State. I am a member of Chi Epsilon and Golden Key International honor societies. I have completed two internships and plan to pursue graduate studies in Structural Engineering. I am fluent in French.

Having been a serious student throughout my education, i've had the opportunity to detroit">tutor friends and family members who were on the verge of dropping out of school, from the time i was in high school until until my later college years. I started out by being a mentor and homework coach to my friends, which helped me understand their needs and study approach. For 5 to 6 years I ended up detroit">tutoring friends individually and in groups depending on their needs and grade levels.

My experience as a mentor has taught me that every student has a different approach to learning and that everyone can do it with the appropriate support. When I was a teanager in high school, i did loose focus for a while, but the support of my teachers who had belief in me helped me gain the confidence that i needed to succeed. Working with the student and building trust is critical to his success.
