Fun Facts
I enjoy the simpler things in life, such as sitting outside and spending time with my family. My favorite band is Pink Floyd, but I basically love all kinds of music. Harry Potter is my favorite series of books...ever. Finally, I am awful at sports, but volleyball is fantastic! In 2016, I hope to attend the Summer Olympics in Rio.
About Me
I am an honors freshman at Loyola University New Orleans, currently double-majoring in English-Literature and Economics. Upon graduating, I hope to either attend law school or graduate school to earn a PhD in Economics. After that, I hope to travel for a while, and then become a college professor.
Being the oldest of five, I have helped my younger siblings with homework many times when my parents could not. In addition, I became a member of the National Honor Society in high school, which gave me the privilege of tutoring my peers on a regular basis. Both experiences, among others, have taught me patience, understanding, and compassion when it comes to tutoring.
Growing up, I always did well in school. Eventually, I became sad and confused when I realized my friends were having a hard time while I usually was not. Because of my friends and my younger siblings, I love to help other people learn, and likewise, I love when they help me learn too. The best way to tutor is to gain a personal relationship with the student and try to discover the best way they understand information. Through tutoring, I hope to help my students learn to succeed, and hopefully, to gain the same love for knowledge I experience every day.
