For one, I write a gigantic pile of basically all things that can possibly be written. Fiction, poetry, album, film, and book reviews... I've even dabbled in dramas. Besides writing, I also read a great deal - some of my favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradbury, Phillip K. Dick, William S. Burroughs, Hunter S. Thompson, James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, Chuck Palahniuk and Jennifer Egan. Films and music are also big interests of mine, but it really goes back to reading and writing for me as i

About Me

I am a twenty-one year old Wayne State Student, majoring in English literature, in my fourth and potentially final year. My overall goals are to be an English professor and published author. However, my passion for teaching has also led me to take a deep interest in detroit">tutoring. Basically, I like to spread knowledge.

As a detroit">tutor, I prefer to lead my students to answers without actually providing them, in hopes that they will be able to solve not that just particular issue but similar ones as well; however, my style often adapts based on the needs of the students I detroit">tutor. I also take a rather eclectic approach whenever I can. I find that drawing on outside material that shows the applications of concepts can help students better understand what they are learning. Therefore, I attempt to do this when I find it applicable.

I spent most of the summer of 2012 detroit">tutoring students who were making the transition between high school and college, reinforcing their math and English skills. Most of the detroit">tutors only taught one subject or the other; I was the only one to detroit">tutor both subjects. This was my first extended experience with detroit">tutoring, and the first such position I held. However, I at once built an excellent rapport with many of the students and helped my own confidence in my own learning as well as their confidence in their own learning.
