Fun Facts

One passion people quickly learn about is my love for animals! I especially love dogs, so my spare time is most frequently spent with my puppy. I also am an absolute basketball fanatic--nothing clears my mind better than shooting hoops or watching my favorite team/player's past highlights. I am the only girl on my dad's side of the family; also the youngest.

About Me

I am a sophomore Nursing student at Marquette University in Milwaukee. After completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I hope to attend Rush University in Chicago to earn my Masters of Science in Nursing. My ultimate goal is to become a nurse anesthetist.

As a member of the National Honor Society, I had the opportunity to milwaukee">tutor students in the math and science subject areas during my junior & senior years of high school. It was an educative experience for me, as well, because I learned to modify my teaching methods to accommodate different students. There was nothing more rewarding than seeing my hard work pay off in the success of others, and Frog milwaukee">Tutoring now gives me the opportunity to work with even more students that need help.

Throughout my childhood years, I struggled in most subjects and found myself inadequate to the learning and comprehension abilities of other students. In the 5th grade, I was lucky to have a teacher whose optimism and patience helped push me forward toward my potential as a learner. To this day, I believe patience is the biggest gift a teacher/mentor can give to their students. If a concept is unclear to a student, I am a strong advocate for refining one's basic understanding of that concept. Rather than learning textbook definitions,I always try to guide students to understanding in their own terms, because this establishes a more solid foundation for learning in the future.
