Fun Facts
I'm really invested in the Jazz program at a close community college. I play lead Alto Sax in one of the Jazz combos there, and running gigs now and then each semester keeps me sane! Music is a very important aspect in my life, and it's worth juggling the music grind along with working on my main field of study. I believe that everyone should indulge in some type of musical art, whether it be instrumental performance, singing, dancing, etc. because music is something that everyone can share.
About Me
I am a junior at Arizona State University who studies Criminology and Criminal Justice, and I'm going to go on to study law at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law to become a lawyer. I'm planning to add a minor in English and a certificate in Secondary Education because I'd also like to teach high school English and give back to a new generation.
Experience
My first experience with tutoring was in high school! I was a peer tutor for Personal Financing, Beginning Band, and Japanese 3-4, and I loved every day of it! Ever since, I've been looking forward to finding the opportunity to tutor again, and Frog Tutoring lets me do just that!
Approach
I always make it a rule to smile and persevere when I tutor no matter what! I say that if you don't have those two things, students won't have a very fun time with the material, and they certainly wouldn't have a good impression of me either! Another rule I commit to is to scaffold my students up to learning goals rather than making them work truly independently or just handing them the answers. Instead of constant lecturing, I try and make learning as active as possible and guide my students.

I took tons of AP classes when I was in high school and did well in them, so I definitely know how to study! Time management and learning how to time breaks is very important, as well as being organized in one's studies. The key is to find out what kind of learner you are!
Homework Coach Tutoring
Homework coaching is one of my favorite things to do for people. When I have time, I always help out my peers in high school and college with their homework no matter what subject it is. It's easier to tackle problems with two heads instead of one!

Math has always been a subject that I'm good at, and I believe that teaching math at an elementary level is just so fun! I love teaching all the shortcuts and tricks of memorizing multiplication tables and addition and subtraction, and if someone wants to flourish in Math later on in life, they must build a very strong foundation at the start.
General Music Tutoring
I have been playing music all my life, and have flourished in the field for a long time now. I've had the chance to become the president of my music program in high school and I am now currently playing in a small Jazz quintet in a community college. I also just really love music!
Saxophone Tutoring
I've been playing Alto Saxophone for about 7 years now, and I know the in's and out's of the instrument. I have worked on my technique and tone for years. In addition, I play lead alto sax in the Jazz quintet that I play in for a community college.
