Fun Facts
I enjoy learning lots of new things in my free time. I've been playing tennis for a few years now and love to go outside and practice on some courts as often as I can. I used to play the violin, but wasn't able to keep up with it, so I started learning the piano this year to get back into the musical realm of things -- it's quite fun! I also love all kinds of music and my headphones are definitely a close friend for music listening!
About Me
I'm currently a senior Biochemistry major at Creighton University with aspirations to go to medical school once I graduate. I am very involved on campus, as I am an officer for a Jesuit Honors Society, Alpha Sigma Nu, as well as the President of the College of Arts and Sciences Student Senate. I like to keep myself busy, and definitely strive to do well in all of my classes.
I've been omaha">tutoring chemistry for three years now at Creighton University and have loved every semester of it. I have been able to really help students jump start their grades and learn to love chemistry over the semesters and have appreciated all the great feedback I've gotten from all the people I have helped. Though it does get frustrating at times, especially when the student isn't very enthusiastic, I have definitely learned from the experience and grown in my own communication abilities.
I enjoy interactive learning with the people I omaha">tutor. My favorite professors are those that take time to not only explain things but to allow time for the student to answer some questions and be actively engaged in the material. I'm personally a hands on person when it comes to learning, so when I am omaha">tutoring people, I like to bring up lots of examples to make sure the student isn't just nodding away and it understanding the fundamental concepts behind the particular subject.
